FALL STYLE COVERED PRETZLES
I was feeling a little festive this weekend so I wanted to try some easy fall/Halloween treats. These are so easy to make and are fun too! I even got my boyfriend involved to help, although he ate about every 5th one he made.. ha! I made so many I ended up taking some to my job for my coworkers and they were pretty much gone in a few hours.
I would give yourself 2 hours to make these, that is how long it took me with all of the other distractions going on in my apartment.
What I used:
1 bag of Gold Roll Tiny Twist Pretzels
1 Block of vanilla flavored Almond Bark
1 bag of easy melting caramels
candy corn
food coloring
peanut butter m&ms
wax paper
What to do:
PUMPKINS: Slice green peanut butter m&ms in halfs with a knife. Melt half of the almond bark according to instructions. When thin and creamy, add 7 drops of yellow food coloring and 2 drops of red food coloring, or however much you prefer until you get the perfect orange! Dip pretzels into the almond bark to coat and set on laid out wax paper. I dipped a little over half of my pretzels in, but you can cover all of it and use tongs or a fork to get it out and on the wax paper. While the pretzels are STILL WET, add a half of the green m&ms to each of the tops, to look like pumpkin stems!
GOBLINS: I used about 4 squares of almond bark here and melted them in the microwave according to instructions. I added about 2 drops of green food coloring because I wanted a lighter green. I dipped my pretzels in the melted bark and set them on wax paper. While they were still wet, I added 2 yellow or 2 orange (m&m's) eyes. Then let them dry!
CARAMEL CANDY CORN: These ones were fun! I started by lining a bunch of pretzels very close together on my wax paper. I then added candy corns on top of each! Then, I melted about half a bag of caramels in the microwave according to instructions. When very runny and melted, I drizzled caramel all over my lined up pretzels with a fork. I let them dry and then put them in a container for work!
